ABOUT ME

I was lucky to work as a magazine and web editor in New York City, learning from the best of the best at such places as Parenting, Marie Claire, Everyday Health, and Scholastic Parent and Child. Along the way, I picked up a fair share of media skills: How to tell a story, using every element to hook and keep a reader’s attention; how to push the reporting beyond the same-old same-old so it offers fresh advice and information; how to package evergreen ideas into original, insightful pieces; and how to transform any type of prose—even scientific jargon and clunky SEO keywords—into lively, easy-to-grasp articles. I also mastered the art of hitting every deadline (no matter how tight), tackling any topic (no matter how esoteric), and working well with others (no matter how hard to please).

What does that mean for you? When you hire me to write or edit, I’ll bring the same skill sets to your project. While I focus mainly on health and wellness, I often write about general lifestyle too. My clients include publications JAMA, Shape, Reader’s Digest, Health Central, and Hudson Valley Magazine and brands like Johnson & Johnson, Linkewell Health, United Healthcare, and Scholastic.
